The training amenities and discipline here explain why India excels in boxing.” He acknowledged not only the infrastructure and governmental support but also the burgeoning sports culture in India, which is steering the nation towards becoming a sporting powerhouse. “Indian boxers possess immense potential. My visits to India have shown me the eagerness to represent the country at the highest levels. The backing these athletes receive in terms of training facilities and coaching, along with the federation’s efforts, will yield positive outcomes. I foresee the Indian Boxing Federation emerging as a leading global federation, with many more champions like Mary Kom rising from India.”
Emphasis on International Exposure
Vorst expressed his enthusiasm for India hosting the Boxing Cup and highlighted the importance of athletes gaining international experience. He stated, “It is crucial to send athletes to more international competitions to enhance their development.
