Concluding the historic discussion which lasted more than 24 hours at Vision 2047 in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that India will develop when every state will play its role and Uttar Pradesh will be at the forefront. The Chief Minister thanked 187 MLAs of the ruling party and the opposition and said that everyone made the debate meaningful in seriousness and interesting manner. He said that this discussion, which lasted more than 24 hours, is a proof of the power of democracy and the seriousness of the members.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is not only the most populous state in the country, but also the flag bearer of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Uttar Pradesh is not just a large population state, it is the focal point of India’s spiritual and cultural energy. The Chief Minister reminded that at the inauguration of the Global Investors Summit in Lucknow in 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that Uttar Pradesh is a bright spot for the world and Uttar Pradesh will become a driving force of India’s growth.
This journey is an opportunity for introspection
The Chief Minister said that most of the members wanted to keep their thoughts and vision in this discussion, but we have to pursue the discussion in view of the time and the limits of resources. A comprehensive strategy related to this has to be prepared and all the stakeholders associated with the society have to go. After interacting with him, we will again come to the House on a detailed discussion, sector-wise issues. This discussion is also an eye -opening for those who raise finger on the conduct of legislature and members. Whenever there was a need for the state and the country, we all have contributed and will continue to give further. It is the good fortune of all of us that the country is entering the nectar of its freedom. 78 years of independence are going to be completed. This journey is an opportunity to introspect. I became part of this 24 -hour discussion on many occasions. I noticed that the ruling party, opposition and all other honorable members showed serious interest in it. Some members woke up overnight and contributed to the discussion, due to which the attention of the country also went to this.
Discussed in two parts
The Chief Minister said that if India develops, Uttar Pradesh will also contribute to it. Should not the per capita income of Uttar Pradesh be high? Shouldn’t it be a part of happiness? On these questions, we divided the discussion in two parts – first, what we achieved from 1947 to 2017, and second, the 30 -year roadmap from 2017 onwards. This is the most appropriate time to introspect what we lost and what we found in this 100 years journey from 1947 to 2047. According to the vision document presented by the Prime Minister to the country, Uttar Pradesh has done the work of advancing the initial discussion.
