Jamalpur -Howrah Vande Bharat Express, which runs under Eastern Railway, will be flagged off today i.e. on 16 August. This new semi -high speed train is the expansion of Bhagalpur -Howrah Vande Bharat Express. Regular operation of the train will start from August 17. Jamalpur -Howrah Vande Bharat Express will complete a distance of 441 km in 6hr 35 minutes. This will be the fastest train ever on this route. This train will run from 22310/22309 number. It will operate six days a week except Friday.

During the journey from Jamalpur to Howrah, the train will stop at eight stations. These include Bhagalpur, Barahat, Mandar Hill, Hansdiha, Noniat, Dumka, Rampurhat and Bolpur Santiniketan. 22310 Jamalpur -Howrah Vande Bharat Express train will leave Jamalpur at 3:30 pm and reach Howrah Junction at 10:05 pm. At the same time, 22309 Howrah -Jamalpur Vande Bharat Express will leave Howrah at 7:45 am and reach Jamalpur Junction at 2:15 pm.

This Vande Bharat train will have 8 coaches. An executive chair car (EC) and 7 Chair Car (CC) include. A total of 590 passengers will be able to travel, out of which 44 passengers will be able to sit in EC coaches and 546 passengers in the chair car. Ticket booking has already started. Passengers can buy tickets from IRCTC website and mobile app or PRS counter at the station. 1290 rupees will have to be paid for AC Chair Car (CC). At the same time, the fare of Executive Chair Car (EC) is Rs 2335.
