Former Pakistan Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given a jurisdiction that if India built a dam on the Indus river, there will be a war between the two countries. This threat of Bilawal came a day after Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s nuclear threat against the latest India. Zardari has said that if New Delhi moves forward with a change in the Indus Water Treaty, then the situation can reach war.

Speaking at an event organized by the Department of Culture of Sindh government, Bilawal Bhutto claimed that turning the water of Indus river away from Pakistan is an attack on the history, culture and civilization of the country, especially Sindh. The Express Tribune quoted Bilawal as saying, “If Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announces an attack on the Indus River, he attacks our history, our culture and our civilization.”

Bilawal alleged that the announcement of the water project on the Indus River by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is similar to a warning for Pakistan as it can cut Pakistan’s water supply. He claimed that during his foreign visits, he has been exposing the issue of India’s aggressive water policy.

Bilawal said that whenever the people of Sindh have felt the Indus river in danger, they have come forward to protect it. The former Pakistan Foreign Minister said, “The people of Pakistan have the strength to face Modi in the event of war.” He warned India that as a result of another war, Pakistan can regain all its six rivers.
