If the Congress and Jinnah were attributed to the partition in the new NCERT module, then the politics has intensified. Congress leaders say that Jinnah made a mistake of understanding and hence the country had to face the destruction of partition. However, this module of NCERT is not regular syllabus. It has been told in this chapter that Congress was also a reason for partition.
Apart from this, Mohammad Ali Jinnah has been described as real responsible for partition. On this, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi was enraged. He said that how can a particular class be held responsible for the partition. The module states that three major reasons were responsible for the partition. Earlier there were Jinnah, who were demanding a separate country for Muslims. The second was the Congress that accepted Jinnah’s demand and the third Mountbatten who implemented it.
The Congress and the opposition say that the chapter has been given information in a side. Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda said that such a book should be set on fire. He said, the truth is that the country was partitioned due to the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha. At the same time, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that the country’s partition was done on the basis of religion. He said that there is no difference between Rahul Gandhi and Jinnah’s thinking.
Asaduddin Owaisi said, if NCERT has to teach about the partition, then Shamsul Islam’s Muslim Against Partition Book should be included in the syllabus. Similarly, lies can be prevented from spreading. Owaisi said that how can Muslims be responsible for the partition? Those who ran away ran away and those who were loyal stopped.
The secondary stage module of NCERT states that the leaders of India did not have the experience of the administration at that time. At that time, the army, police and administrative system were also not understood. In such a situation, no one had an idea that this decision could create a big problem. It said that displacement, violence and slaughter of 1.5 crore people were a disastrous which is still wound for the country.
Modules said that the country is still suffering in the results of partition. Communal politics of Kashmir and Pakistan sponsored terrorism is a product of this decision. It also said that Pakistan chose the path of war thrice to capture Kashmir, but it felt nothing but terrorism.
