China’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that Beijing is ready to increase dialogue and cooperation with India on the issue. The ministry further said that the border trade has played an important role in improving the lives of the residents of the border areas of both countries over the years.
Relationships are improving between India and China
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China from 31 August to 1 September to attend the SCO summit. During this period, there is a possibility of discussion on economic cooperation, border stability and regional diplomacy between the two countries.
Explain that China has relaxed the restrictions imposed on the supply of urea to India. At the same time, India has resumed the issuance of tourist visas to Chinese citizens, and 10-15 Chinese investment proposals including the technical field have been approved. Apart from this, the Government of India has informed that a direct flight will also run between India and China from next month. From this visit of PM Modi, the world will send a message that even though there is differences between India and China on some issues, he takes decisions keeping in mind his interests.
Golden opportunity to reduce trade deficit with China
Many experts believe that India should have direct and clear talks with China, so that good business deals can be set. This will not only improve India-China relations, but also will make India’s position strong in talks with America. The biggest concern is that India’s trade deficit with China is very big. In 2010, India sold goods worth $ 17.44 billion to China, which declined to $ 14.90 billion in 2024. China sold goods worth $ 41.25 billion to India in 2010, which increased to $ 126.96 billion in 2024.
