IPO increased the enthusiasm of investors
According to analysts, the new IPO played an important role in increasing the number of demat accounts. Investors were attracted to the primary market (IPO) due to high valuation of shares in the secondary market. Despite the huge ups and downs in the market in July, the IPO with attractive valuations wooed investors.
Meanwhile, several mainboards and SME IPOs were launched from May, which caught the attention of investors. Demat accounts are necessary to keep shares and securities in electronic form, and India is now ranked seventh in the world in this matter.
Stock market fluctuations
From the beginning of 2025, the Indian stock market saw heavy volatility. Geopolitical tension and American tariffs increased the global and Indian market fluctuations. Experts also recommend that when the market declines, there is an opportunity to invest for new people. In such a situation, demat accounts are open rapidly in the last few months.
