Maruti’s new limited edition SUV launches, big challenge for Creta

Maruti Suzuki has launched Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Bla Edition on the occasion of completion of 10 years of its Nexa Retail Channel. Being the leading SUV of Nexa, this limited edition has been introduced with premium styling and special design. According to the company, this variant is specially designed for customers who want style and great looks in every drive. Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer of marketing and sales of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that Grand Vitara has been highly liked by customers, which has achieved milestone of sale of 3 lakh units in just 32 months. This limited edition will also further promote this success.
Design
This model is based on the Alpha Plus Strong Hybrid variant, in which the original design of the mid-size SUV is retained. Along with this, many cosmetic changes have been made in it. This includes new matte black exterior paint, all-black interior like Standard Grand Vitara, Fox Leather seats and Champagne Gold Accent, which gives it a special look.
Features
The Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition provides the same features that are available in Alpha Plus Strong Hybrid variants. This includes ventilated Fox leather front seats, panoramic sunroof, 9 -inch smartplay Pro+ Infotainment System, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Apart from this, the Clarian sound system is also provided. Keeping in mind the safety, 360 degree view camera, head-up display (HUD) in this variant, remote access, 6 airbags, electronic stability programs (ESP), Anti-Lock Breaking System (ABS), Electronic Break Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Break Breaking System (EBS), Electronic Breaking System (ABS), Hill Hold Parking System and Features like 3-point seat belt reminders are provided.
Engine and performance
The Grand Vitara Phantom Black has a 1.5-liter self-charging hybrid powertrain, called the ‘Intelligent Hybrid System’. It has been connected to E-CVT gearbox. The total output of this powertrain is 114 bhp, with the engine provides 91 Bhp and 122 Nm of torque, while motor generates 79 bhp power and 141 Nm torque. Maruti Suzuki claims that the mileage of this strong hybrid version is up to 27.97 km/liter.
