The national festival of independence of the country on August 15 (Independence Day) will also witness 14 millionaires selected from various districts of Uttar Pradesh National Rural Livelihood Mission of the flag hoisting ceremony held at the historic Red Fort in New Delhi. This opportunity not only honors the story of their life journey, but is also a symbol of self -sufficiency of rural women’s power.
Under the efficient direction of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, millions of women are becoming financially empowered through self -help groups constituted under the State Rural Livelihood Mission. There is a deep enthusiasm among the Lakhpati Didis regarding participation in the Independence Day celebrations.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Maurya on Wednesday flagged off 14 millionaires from his Camp Office, 7-Kalidas Marg, Lucknow to New Delhi by bus. Along with these 14 selected Lakhpati Didis, his spouse or a colleague was also sent on a visit to Delhi. Two special representatives associated with the State Rural Livelihood Mission have also gone with the team.

Shri Maurya thanked the Lakhpati Didi of Uttar Pradesh for the invitation of attending the Independence Day celebrations to be held at the historic Red Fort. Congratulating the Lakhpati Didi, wished him a bright future and said that these Didis are inspiration for women of themselves, taking inspiration from them, other Didis will also try to fall in the category of Lakhpati Didi. He also took out a tricolor journey here with Lakhpati Didi.

On August 14, these women will visit Delhi under a predetermined schedule.
