Mumbai,
The atmosphere in Mumbai is currently hot over pigeonkhans. The Bombay High Court has banned the birds from the granule around the pigeon. After which some people of the Jain community are ignoring this decision and putting the pigeons. Now the Jain community has intended to take the path of hunger strike. Jain monk Nileshchandra Vijay has warned that the community will go on hunger strike from August 13.
Nileshchandra Vijay said, after the government’s instructions, pigeons have been started to give grain. This is being done keeping in mind the election. After the end of Paryushan festival, we will decide the next step. We will take a final decision on the 13th. We will take the path of satyagraha and hunger strike. If the pigeons are banned from pouring grains, we will start a hunger strike after the 13th.
We will not respect the court either
He also said, Jain society is humble. Raising weapons is not our policy. Arms were used during some protests, but they were not our people. Nevertheless, we will take up arms to protect religion if needed. We respect the Constitution, Court and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He strongly said, if our religion is attacked, we will not respect the court either.
Protecting every animal is our religion
Also, if the metropolitan municipality, court or administration refuses us, we will start the movement. Jiva mercy is the basic mantra of our religion. Why is Jainism being targeted? We have sought permission from the metropolitan municipality to provide food. There will be movement again at this place. Millions of Jain brothers from across the country will gather peacefully here. I will not be alone. He also told that it is our religion to protect every animal from ant to elephant.
