Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar on Monday inaugurated the Mahakumbh Abhiyan for Employment Mahakumbh 2025 from Vidhan Sabha, Lucknow. In this program, the Minister flagged off the employment chariot for publicity in the districts of the state. On this occasion, he said that the intention of the government is that employment should be available at the hands of every youth. In view of this, the Department of Labor and Employment is organizing Employment Mahakumbh 2025 at Indira Gandhi Foundation in the capital Lucknow from 26 to 28 August 2025 in collaboration with BCS Consulting Private Limited, Lucknow and The Economic Times of India. He said that the purpose of the employment chariot is to motivate more and more youth to participate in this Mahakumbh and to connect them with opportunities available at national and international level. He said that employment will be provided to 50 thousand youths under Employment Mahakumbh 2025.
The Minister informed that the Employment Sangam portal Tawarhthendhunnchahvanavan has been developed by the Employment Department, in which registrations have been made for recruitment agencies, employers and job seekers. He said that the Labor Department has recently sent 5978 construction workers in the state to Israel, which is being appreciated not only in the country but also in other countries. Currently, nurses and caregiver vacancies have been received from Germany, Japan and Israel, in which salary of up to one lakh fifty thousand rupees will be given. Along with this, vacancies from different regions have also been received from Gulf countries. He said that the state government has formed the Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission with the aim of providing employment to the youth at national and international level.
Principal Secretary Labor and Employment Dr. M.K. Shanmuga Sundaram said that Employment Mahakumbh 2025 is a historical initiative to make Uttar Pradesh a center of employment and skills. In this event, global employers, industry leaders, policy makers and job seekers will come on the same platform. The objective of the program is to create quality employment, encourage youth skill development and provide new pace to the state’s economy.
Registration of more than one lakh youth is expected in Employment Mahakumbh and more than fifty thousand jobs will be available. These include more than fifteen thousand international vacancies, including placement possibilities in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Germany. Similarly, more than thirty five thousand domestic opportunities will be provided in manufacturing, IT, services and emerging industries through the country’s leading companies. More than one hundred recruitment partners are expected to participate, including twenty international recruitments. During the event, more than ten thousand offer letters will be issued, of which more than two thousand will be for foreign placements.
On this occasion, the AI Training Pavilion will be special attraction in which digital skills and AI-managed job preparations will be focused on the cooperation of leading experts of industry. Government initiatives and future skills will be displayed in employment and skill exhibition. The National Conference to be held in collaboration with The Economic Times will discuss future employment markets and skill strategies at the National Conference to be held. Apart from this, the state’s startups will present their innovation and solutions and information about self -employment schemes will be given through the Chief Minister’s Youth Stall. Also, targeted skills and employment opportunities will be encouraged in collaboration with ten sector skill councils.
On the occasion, departmental officers including Principal Secretary Labor and Employment, Special Secretary Nilesh Kumar, Director Employment Mrs. Neha Prakash, Secretary B.O.C.W, Pooja Yadav, Additional Director, Services, P.K. Pundir were present.
