You must have seen viral videos or films that the vehicles are running without a driver. Now this thing is not limited to just films. In real life too, such technology has developed, which will make the vehicle driverless, that is, the driver will not be needed to drive the car. This time this technology has developed not in any outside country, but in India. It is made by IIT Hyderabad with the help of AI. Not only this, he has also prepared a driverless bus to try this technique, whose test has also been done. It is possible that the use of this technology should be seen on a large scale in the future.

Drive a bus without a driver
According to Live Mint report, IIT Hyderabad’s technology innovation hub on Autonomous Navigation (Tihan) has developed driverless technology on the basis of AI. With the help of this software, the bus can take students and teachers from one place to another in the premises without a driver. This technique may be limited to the IIT Hyderabad campus at the moment, but in the coming time it can benefit a big benefit in the field of transportation. Project officials believe that driverless technology can help reduce road accidents and deaths.

The sensor detects the surrounding traffic
Tihan officials say that the driverless bus is not being run on public roads at the moment. This bus has so far traveled more than 10,000 passengers. About 90% of the passengers have given a good reaction to this bus trip. There are many types of sensors in this bus, which help the bus understand the surrounding environment. This system can work for both electric and oil engine -powered vehicles. With the help of AI, they will find out the surrounding traffic and vehicle movement and then it will move forward accordingly.

These places can be used in future
The driver’s bus has been successful in the trial, in which the rest of the Educational Institutes and the Telangana government are also showing interest in it. They believe that it can be used in airports, large college campuses or industrial areas where there is not much traffic. It is possible that in future such vehicles or buses pass close to you and all of them should be normal for you. However, it is necessary to ensure that driverless vehicles are safe and cradle traffic rules.

Traffic related data has been stored
To improve this technique further, Tihan has collected big data. For this, a special sport utility vehicle (SUV) was prepared, which has traveled from Hyderabad to Jammu. The name of this project is ‘Safari’. The vehicle covered a total distance of 8,000 km. During this period, passing through about 35 cities, stored different roads, traffic patterns and weather information. This data is being used to make the driverless system more accurate.
