The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rains in several districts of Maharashtra. Also, Yellow Alert of Mumbai has been issued. Today, life has been affected by the rains in Mumbai.
The department has issued an orange alert for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Pune’s Ghats, Kolhapur and Satara districts for August 16 and 17 today, causing very heavy rainfall in these areas. The Disaster Management Department has also directed the district administration of these districts to stay on alert mode. However, due to heavy rains in Solapur for the last three days, there has been waterlogging in the low -lying areas and crops have suffered a lot. Indian weather Vibhat has issued a Yellow alert for Mumbai from today to 17 August.
Most areas of Mumbai cities and suburbs are receiving heavy rains from the shrine on Thursday, causing waterlogging in the low -lying areas. Traffic on many major routes has slowed down due to continuous rains. However, rain on the service of Mumbai’s Lifeline Local Railway has not yet been affected.
