Shahjahanpur
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti has again given the dispute to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, demanding the change of name of Shahjahanpur district of UP. He said that this historic district should be named after a freedom fighter, saint or social reformer, who represents Indian culture and tradition. Uma Bharti also questioned the role of opposition parties on the issue. He accused the opposition of supporting the “names associated with slavery”, saying that these parties are only engaged in vote bank politics and do not respect public sentiments.
