Fastag Annual Pass Dhoom: 1.4 lakh passes sold on the first day of launch

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has launched Fastag Annual Pass on 15 August 2025 on the occasion of Independence Day. This annual pass will be valid on selected National Highways (NH) and National Expressway (NE) at about 1,150 toll plazas across the country. Its booking and activation started online from August 15, which you can easily do sitting at home.

Fastag Annual Pass received tremendous response from people. About 1.4 lakh users passed and activated by 7 pm till 7 pm on the first day. At the same time, about 1.39 lakh transactions were recorded at the toll plaza. 20,000 to 25,000 people were active all the time on the highway app and pass users also received SMS for toll fee zero.
Preparation of NHAI for the convenience of passengers
NHAI officials and nodal officers have been deployed at every toll plaza.
The 1033 National Highway Helpline has been further strengthened for speedy disposal of complaints, adding more than 100 additional officers.
Pass price and validity
Price: Rs 3,000
Validity: 1 year or 200 trips (which is completed earlier)
Applicable vehicle: Private vehicle (car, jeep, van) only
Note: This pass is not available for commercial vehicles.
How to do Fastag Annual Pass Activate?
Open the Rajmargyatra mobile app.
Click on the ‘Annual Toll Pass’ tab.
Start the process by clicking on ‘Activate’.
Select ‘Get Started’ and enter the vehicle registration number.
Enter your mobile number, fill OTP.
Go to the payment gateway and pay Rs 3,000.
The pass will be active within 2 hours of payment.
Take care before activation
Fastag is necessary to be connected to your vehicle’s registration number (VRN).
Before payment, check the details of the vehicle on the app.
Only buy passes from NHAI’s website or official app, avoid other sources.
