In Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a flock of stray dogs allegedly killed a mentally deranged woman. The police gave this information on Wednesday. Police said that the incident took place on Tuesday night in Arjun Dumri, village of Hata police station area. Hata police station in -charge Ramsahay Chauhan said that at around 7 pm, he received information that the body of a woman named Madhuri (30) was lying in a paddy field near the gram panchayat building and stray dogs are scratching her. Policemen rushed to the spot, drove the dogs and took the body.
A herd of stray dogs scratched and killed the woman
The police station in -charge said that the woman was mentally deranged and may have gone behind the panchayat building on Tuesday for some reason, where she died. Later the dogs were seen scratching the dead body. The villagers said that the woman often roamed the village, but she went missing on Monday. His family searched him a lot, but could not find anything. He said that his body was found in a paddy field on Tuesday, which the dogs were scratching. Villagers alleged that stray dogs remain a threat in the area and the villagers cited incidents of attacks by dogs on a cow and a goat a year ago.
The exact cause of death will be known only after post mortem report
Kasya’s Police Officer (CO) Kundan Singh said that the police has sent the body for post -mortem and only after the report comes, the exact cause of death will be known. Hata Deputy District Magistrate (SDM) Yogeshwar Singh said that the administration has been informed about the alleged death caused by stray dogs and sent to the Block Development Officer to confirm the details. He assured that all possible assistance would be provided to the victim’s family.
