CM Yogi responded strongly to the opposition, all schools in UP, 40 lakh children are connected to education

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dismissed the opposition’s allegation of closing 29,000 schools in the assembly and said that the education system in the state has become stronger and modern than ever. He said that the schools are not closing, but they are being converted into integrated campus with better facilities.
CM Yogi clarified that these are schools that are less than 50 students and which are located within a radius of 1 km. They are being paired with large and equipped campus, so that the student-teacher ratio can be kept at 22: 1 and the quality of education can be improved.
He said that before 2017, the condition of 1,56,000 basic and affiliated schools of the state was very bad. The teacher-student ratio was unbalanced, lack of infrastructural facilities and the dropout rate was the highest in the country. Under the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ and ‘Operation Rejuvenation’, which started in July 2017, every MLA, administrative officer, village dwellers and alumni were called to adopt the school. As a result, schools today have floors, separate toilets, drinking water, electricity, solar panels, digital library, smart class, sports ground and better seating facilities. Children are getting two uniforms, bags, books, shoes and socks free.
CM Yogi announced that Balwatika and Pre-Primary Classes will be started for children aged 3-6, which will study LKG, UKG and nursery. Along with this, a special package of Rs 100 crore has been approved for ‘CM Nutrition Mission’ here, so that special food can be given to children suffering from malnutrition and anemia. Since 2017, there has been a huge decrease in the dropout rate and 40 lakh additional children are associated with the school. Under the ‘Project Alankar’, renovation of 75 years old inter colleges, new laboratories, smart classes and drinking water are being made. Courses of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Space Technology have been added to 150 government ITIs in the state. So far 71 new government colleges and several universities have been established. Under digital education, 50 lakh youth have been given tablets and smartphones.
Regarding employment, the Chief Minister said that there was irregularity and partiality among the recruitment before 2017. So far, 8.5 lakh youth have been recruited, of which 1.75 lakh are women. The female labor force participation has increased from 13.5% to 35%, while the unemployment rate has come down from 19% to 3%. As a result, more than 1 crore 65 lakh youth in Uttar Pradesh have got an opportunity to work in all sectors. Today 7,200 startups and 50 incubators are actively functioning in the state.
CM said that recently we have recruited 62,200 policemen, including youth from every district and every assembly constituency. Police training capacity has been increased from 3,000 to 60,000. Earlier, the police structure was based on dilapidated barracks, but the high-region building in any city today will be the residential facility of the UP Police, where there will be buildings of police personnel. Currently, the most challenging area before the state is cybercrime. The first police station of cybercrime was in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the second police station opened in Lucknow. Today, one cyber station has been active in all 75 districts. Now the action to build a cyber headquarters is going on inside the state, so that the government can work effectively in preventing cyber crime. Apart from this, the government has also established one cyber help desk in all the police stations of the state.
