CM Stalin will visit Britain and Germany to attract investors in Tamil Nadu

Chief Minister MK Stalin will go on an official visit to Britain and Germany to attract investors in Tamil Nadu. This journey of CM can be done later this month or in the first week of September. The purpose of this journey will be to attract new investment in the state.

According to sources, CM’s visit will include a meeting with potential investors, interaction with Tamil migrants and other official programs.

Chief Minister MK Stalin can address King’s College London (KCL) during his visit. However, the final schedule is yet to be confirmed.

KCL is the hometown of well-known scholar Christof Jafralo, who is the President of Avanta Chair at Kings India Institute and professor of Indian politics and sociology.

Jafralo is widely known for her extensive research on Indian politics, including intensive study on Dravidian parties.

The Avanta Chair is a prestigious academic post at the Kings India Institute. The post is currently being jointly handled jointly by Professor Neerja Gopal Jayal and Professor Christofe Jafralo. Awanta Chair is a central part of the mission of the Kings India Institute, which serves as a leading global center in the study of contemporary India.

Senior officials said that the Chief Minister’s foreign programs cannot be confirmed at present as the program is still being prepared. The journey is expected to last for seven to ten days.

This will be the fifth foreign tour of Chief Minister Stalin since taking over, and due to the assembly elections being only eight months away, this is likely to be his final foreign trip in the current term.

Since assuming office, Chief Minister Stalin has made several high-level foreign trips aimed at promoting Tamil Nadu’s investment possibilities.

In March 2022, he visited the United Arab Emirates, resulting in signing a memorandum of Rs 6,100 crore (MoU).

In May 2023, his visits to Singapore and Japan led to an investment of Rs 1,342 crore, creating about 2,000 jobs.

In early 2024, the Chief Minister went to Spain, where an agreement of Rs 3,440 crore was signed.

During the visit to the US in August-September 2024, he met officials of technology giants including Google and Apple. According to the state government, an agreement worth Rs 7,616 crore was signed in that visit, which is expected to create 11,516 jobs.

Chief Minister Stalin has emphasized that his foreign trips are part of the extensive target of converting Tamil Nadu into an economy of $ 1 trillion by 2030.

The upcoming visit to Europe is expected to promote this investment.
