Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with children from government schools on Thursday. The Chief Minister loves the children with love and shared pictures of these moments on his social media handle. In the pictures, she is seen cherishing the children and getting them tied to them.
CM said, ‘This was the new definition of the relationship’
The Chief Minister wrote in his post, “This morning the Chief Minister Jan Seva Sadan was in a different color. When the young children from government schools brought ashes to commemorate Rakshabandhan, this ritual was the new definition of our relationship.” He described the laughter of children and their innocent eyes as the basis of every decision. He said, “The thread tied with his small hands was a promise of a yesterday where every child could fly without fear, without distinction, his dreams.”
BJP also celebrated Rakhi festival
On the other hand, BJP also celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with great enthusiasm. Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva tied a rakhi by students from various schools and colleges. Emphasizing the importance of Rakhi, Sachdeva said that this holy festival maintains the dignity of the brother-sister relationship and binds the whole society in the thread of unity. Apart from this, the BJP Mahila Morcha has also announced to celebrate the festival of Rakhi with the people living there in the slums of Delhi. Party’s Mahila Morcha president Richa Pandey Mishra said that her party has prepared an action plan for this and this campaign will be started soon.
