The district administration has been alerted on the symptoms of avian influenza i.e. bird flu. The sale of poultry birds and their products has been banned within 10 km radius of village Soli village of Kausani. The movement of casual birds from the district has been stopped till advance order. The disposal of dead chickens will have to follow the government guideline.
Deputy Pushparen Officer Pankaj Joshi said that 40 samples were sent. So far 55 samples have been collected. Taking samples from August 12. The report of which has come positive. Samples Mandal Laboratory have been sent to Havalbag for investigation. If needed from there, samples are sent to other laboratory for examination.
Instructions for Kuling
In the Collectorate, District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgaini gave these guidelines to the District Level Committee constituted for bird flu control. He instructed the concerned departments to work with a mutual coordinator and to immediately finish all birds within one km radius of village Soli as per government guidelines.
DM said that the situation in the district is under complete control. All these steps are being taken only as basic security measures in public interest.
