Hindu temples are constantly being targeted in the US, where another such incident has come to light. In the latest case, some miscreants damaged a Hindu temple in Indiana earlier this week, where the temple nameplate was spoiled. The miscreants also wrote anti -India and anti -Hindu slogans on the walls of the temple complex. The incident took place on 10 August at the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Greenwood City.
Indian consulate strongly condemned
The incident has been strongly condemned by the Indian Consulate in Chicago and described it as condemnable. He has also released a statement in which he said that the main signboard of the temple has been distorted. He has also called for vigilance against miscreants in the temple area.
What did the consulate write?
The Indian Consulate in its X post wrote, ‘The consulate is in touch with the community and has raised the matter to the officials to implement the law for quick action. Today, the Consul General addressed a gathering of devotees and local leadership, including the honorable mayor of Greenwood, calling for unity and solidarity and vigilance against miscreants. ‘
Fourth such attack within a year
Explain that this is the fourth incident within less than a year, when a temple has been attacked. Earlier in March too, a BAPS Hindu temple in California, USA was targeted by some unknown miscreants. Then the then Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal strongly condemned the act and called it ‘disgusting’.
