All schools and coaching centers will remain closed till August 7 in Prayagraj

All schools from pre primary to class 12 of the district have been closed till August 7. With the continuous rains, the District Magistrate of Prayagraj has given this instruction in view of the horrific situation of floods in the district.

In view of the situation of heavy rainfall and floods in the district, all the schools of all the boards (Basic Education Council, Secondary Education Council, CBSE, ICSE, Sanskrit Board and other boards) in Prayagraj will remain closed till August 7 on the instructions of the District Magistrate. Guidelines have been issued in this regard to the principals of all schools.

BSA Devbrata Singh has also issued an order to close all schools up to eighth. The BSA has made it clear that the council teachers will ensure to edit DBT, U-Dus Plus and other departmental works under Work from Home. Also, it has been directed that the schools where the district administration has built flood posts and night shelters will provide their support.

On the other hand, many schools including St. Joseph’s College, St. Mary’s Convent, Ganga Gurukulam Phaphamau have messaged all the parents that online classes from August 5 to 7 will operate according to the predetermined timetable.
