There was a detailed telephonic conversation between Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin. In this dialogue, the two leaders discussed many important issues. During this period, special attention was paid to further strengthening the Ukraine conflict, India-Russia bilateral agenda, and special and privileged strategic partnership between the two countries. President Putin recently shared information about his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska. He discussed the major points of this meeting and his assessment in detail with Prime Minister Modi.
It is being told that Prime Minister Modi repeated India’s relevant attitude and emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue for a peaceful solution to the Ukraine struggle. He again expressed India’s support for all efforts in this direction. The two leaders also discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation between India and Russia to further strengthen the mutual strategic partnership. Both also agreed to maintain close contact and continue regular dialogues in future.

India has constantly called for a peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict and supports all efforts in this direction. I hope for our continuous dialogue in the coming days. Significantly, on August 15, several important issues including Ukraine War were discussed between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska. However, there was no concrete or decisive decision regarding war in this dialogue. On the other hand, talks between Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky are also going to be held today (Monday), and everyone is eyeing the White House.
