Padma Shri, a renowned bone -pathologist Dr. B.K. Of. S. Sanjay has been nominated as the President of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati. AIIMS Institute is considered the highest institute for excellent medical education, research and patient care in India.
19 AIIMS working across the country
Food, education and health are the basic requirements of each individual. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government took a historic decision to strengthen India’s tertiary healthcare system and bring these services to every corner of the country. Currently 19 AIIMS are employed across the country, including AIIMS Guwahati. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said that these new AIIMS institutes will prove to be the base pillar of ‘Developed India Mission’.
The government takes these steps to remove regional imbalance
The foundation stone of AIIMS Guwahati was laid by Prime Minister Modi on 26 May 2017. The institute was established to remove regional imbalance in quality health services, medical education and availability of research in North Eastern India. All -round development of the North Eastern region is one of the priorities of the present central government.
Name recorded in Guinness Book of World Records
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has nominated Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Singh Sanjay as the president to empower excellent patient care, medical education and research in the northeastern states. Pro. Sanjay is an internationally renowned boneologist, clinical researcher, educationist, writer, speaker, poet and social worker. His name for his extraordinary achievements has been recorded in India, International, Limca and Guinness Book of World Records. His research work has been published in many top international research journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, International Orthopedics, Journal of Hand Surgery.
Long medical career of 45 years
Dr. Sanjay received his basic orthopedic education from Kanpur, PGI Chandigarh and Central Institute of Orthopedics, New Delhi. He has also received advanced training and fellowships in various sub-experts of orthopedics from Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, America and Russia. In his 45 -year long medical career, he has served in various positions in India and abroad. He has traveled to more than 50 countries and shared his knowledge and experience in universities in many countries including Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and America.
In 2021, he was decorated with ‘Padma Shri’ honor
Dr. Sanjay has been honored by many national and international business, social, cultural and spiritual organizations for his specific medical and social services. In the year 2021, the Government of India honored him with the ‘Padma Shri’ honor.
