China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is going to visit India on Monday. He will hold talks with NSA Ajit Doval on the border issue. This dialogue will take place under the Special Representative Tantra. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is coming to India on Monday. He will hold talks with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval under the Special Representative (SR) mechanism on the border issue. Official sources gave this information.
This visit of Wang Yi is taking place at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tianjin city of China is also scheduled. The Prime Minister will attend the annual summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Sources said that Wang Yi’s visit to India will be mainly on the border dispute with the special representative talks of the next round.
Both Wang Yi and Ajit Doval have been appointed as special representatives of their respective countries for talks on border issues. Doval went to China in December last year and held special representative talks with Wang Yi. There was a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kazan (Russia), during which it was decided to resume various mechanisms of talks.
