At least 32 people have died in the sudden floods due to cloudburst and torrential rains in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. Disaster Management Department chief Mohammad Irshad said that relief teams have so far evacuated more than 100 people, while about 50 people are still missing.
Kishtwar bad weather, high alert
Police and district administration have activated the control room and help desk in the entire district in view of bad weather in Kishtwar and cloudburst in Chishoti. All sub-divisions have been placed on high alert and special police teams have been deployed to deal with emergency situations, which will immediately take action on incidents such as heavy rains, sudden floods, landslides and traffic disrupted roads.
