Mourning due to air firing: 3 people died on Independence Day

The celebration of independence in Pakistan turned into mourning when three people lost their lives in negligent air firing. Those who died include an 8 -year -old innocent girl and an elderly. The incident has once again raised questions on the illegal use of weapons in Pakistan.

64 people injured in Karachi, more than 20 arrested
At least 64 people were injured by this aerial firing during independence celebrations in Karachi city of Pakistan. The injured have been admitted to Civil, Jinnah and Abbasi martyred hospitals. The incident occurred in many areas like Likkabad, Korengi, Liyari and Mahmudabad. Taking action, the police have arrested more than 20 suspects and also recovered several modern weapons from them. Officials have promised strict action against the people involved in the case.
A policeman dies in a terrorist attack
Another tragic incident occurred in Pakistan’s northwest with air firing in Karachi. The Hasan Khel police station on the outskirts of Peshawar was attacked by unknown terrorists. In this attack, a police constable Abu Bakr was killed while an officer was injured.

Such incidents have happened before
This is not the first incident of air firing during independence celebrations in Karachi. Last year too, 95 people were injured in such firing and before that 80 people were injured. Even during the New Year celebrations, such incidents are common in which innocent people have to lose their lives.
