How is the Vice President election?
The Vice President is elected by all MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. A total of 781 members of both houses vote. In the event of complete voting, any candidate needs at least 391 votes to win. The NDA currently has about 422 MPs, making the NDA candidate’s victory confirmed. According to the Election Commission notification, the last date for nomination is 21 August. The nomination papers will be examined by 22 August. The last date for withdrawal of name is 25 August. Votes will be cast on 9 September.
