Monsoon session of UP Assembly starts from today, House’s proceedings will continue for 24 hours

The monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is starting from today, which will last for only 4 days. This time the session will be very special because one day the assembly proceedings will go on for 24 consecutive hours. During this time, the ministers will present the vision document of their respective departments. On August 13, there will be a detailed discussion on the vision document in both houses.

Before the session, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended an all -party meeting held under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana. In the meeting, the Chairman of Legislative Assembly requested the leaders of all the parties to cooperate to run the session smoothly.

He said that democracy is strengthened by dialogue and positive discussion in the parliamentary system. He appealed to all the leaders to stay within parliamentary dignity and express their views.

CM’s appeal

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the meeting that the Uttar Pradesh Assembly is becoming a center of attraction for other states due to its technological innovations. He said that it is necessary to have a meaningful discussion on issues related to public interest in the House.

The Chief Minister said that this will be the first assembly in which there will be a detailed discussion on ‘Vision Document’, which will include the suggestions of all parties for the all -round development of the state. He clarified that it would not be a political party’s agenda, but a shared blueprint for the future of the state.

Opposition assured

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that this initiative is a historic opportunity keeping in mind the goal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India 2047’. Till now, members used to talk about their respective areas, but this discussion will give direction to the future of the entire state. Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey assured all possible cooperation for the development of the state.

Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ demanded a long and serious discussion on the ‘Vision Document’, so that more and more suggestions can be collected. In this session, the vision document of their respective departments will be introduced by the ministers. The opposition can create a ruckus on issues like merger of schools and privatization of electricity. Vision document will be discussed in both houses on August 13.
