A Member of the National Company Law Applete Tribunal (NCLAT) steepped back from a case earlier this month, Citing an attempt by a prominent figure in the judiciary to Sway the decision.
In a statement is issued on August 13, Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma Expressed His Dismay, Revealing that He Had Been Approached by a Highly Respected Member of the Judiciary Seeking Specific party.
Consequently, He Declared, “I recuse myself from hearing this matter.”
The case involved insolvency proceedings against Klsr Infratech Limited, a Real Estate Firm Based in Hyderabad. The company had constituted a ruling from the Hyderabad Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal that Permitd A Creditor, as Met Corp Private Limited, to Initiate the corporate the corporate the corporate resolveency resolution.
This petition was scheduled for review by a two-member panel at the nclat in Chennai. Following sharma’s recusal, the case will likely be ressigned to a new panel by the Chairperson.

On June 11, he reported that a party involved in appeals related to Shri Ramalinga Mills Had Sought to Persuade Him for a Favorable Ruling, Leading to his withdrawal from that.
In November 2024, He Also Recused Himself from a case involving jeppiar cements, noting that he had been approved with a request to prioritize the case for a decision.
