South Delhi
Water pollution is a major problem of the country and the government is also bringing all schemes to make rivers clean. Meanwhile, a school student from Delhi has found a great solution for this. At Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, Adhiraj Kumar Chauhan, a student of class 11th, has prepared a special unmanned robot to clean the waste spread on rivers and coasts. This robot is capable of cleaning garbage without damaging aquatic organisms in the rivers operating AI operated. Also, waste detection, collecting, separating and recycling, including industrial and human waste will also work.
Beginning from young age
Adhiraj told that it was sad to see the condition of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers, so decided to do something. The project has been completed in the school in collaboration with Kiranjyot Kaur. Two prototypes have also been prepared and applied for patents. For this innovation, a letter of praise has also been received by the Government of India under the Clean Ganga Mission. Principal Amita Mohan said that students are given all possible incentives to pursue in the field of innovation. This project, prepared in Atal Tinkering Lab, has proved that major changes can start from a young age.
This is how UMV will do work
The robotic vehicle will be released into the river and the sensor or camera in it will detect waste with the help of AI. The robot will then measure the distance between the robot and the garbage using ultrasonic sensors and pursue a conveyor belt, which will pick up the garbage from the bottom of the water surface and take it to a storage box. This box will act like a washing machine dryer and dry garbage with similar pressure of heat and air. Metal and non -policies will be separated from the garbage using the magnet and sent for recycling. You can also use it to clean the banks of the river. In this, the robot will pick up the garbage using its mechanical arms and the same process will be repeated.

Name shine in IIT Roorkee
The school team finished third in the 3D designing competition held in IIT Roorkee last month. In this, the team was given a problem details on the innovative methods and improvement of waste disposal based on environmental issues, with a 3D model design, suggesting practical solutions to pollution diagnosis. The team designed a 3D model prototype with the aim of cleaning the river banks based on UMV in two hours and received praise. Adhiraj along with Mahira Singh, Abhinav Verma and Mayank Menon were also included in the team.
