In the joint action of ANTF and Firozabad Police, smuggling of opium doda worth Rs 50 lakh has been busted. The police have arrested 2 drug dealers. The smugglers used to bring a consignment of drugs from Bihar and supply it in Haryana. Further action is being taken by registering a case against the accused.
Giving information, SP City Ravi Shankar Prasad of Firozabad said that a joint team of police station Rasulpur police and ANTF unit Agra arrested 2 smugglers with 120 kg of illegal opium doda poppy while taking major action against inter -state drug smuggling gang. The estimated price of the seized drug has been estimated at Rs 50 lakh, while the price of the truck used in smuggling has been stated to be Rs 20 lakh. The total seizures are Rs 70 lakh.
He informed that Muslim Khan son Abdul Hai, resident village Dadka, Thana Hodal, District Palwal (Haryana), age 28 years, Balram Kumar Putra Sitaram, resident village Harnahi, Thana Barachatti, District Gaya (Bihar), age 27 years has been arrested in this case. Smugglers were smuggling with Tripal hiding over the cabin of the truck in carbon sacks. The team took this action on the information of the informer.
During interrogation, the accused arrested revealed that the consignment was ordered from Gaya in Bihar by his gang leader Giani Singh, who was to be transported to Aslam Khan, a resident of Palwal in Haryana. Aslam sells retail. The gang used to buy doda poppy from Bihar at cheap prices and sold 4-5 times in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and other states at a expensive rate. The police are now searching for Aslam Khan son Abdul Hai, resident village Dadka, Hodal, Palwal (Haryana), Giani Singh son Gandhari Singh, resident Harnahi, Barachatti, Gaya (Bihar) in this case. He informed that the police is now investigating the backward and forward links of the gang. Necessary legal action is being taken against the accused by registering a case against police station Rasulpur under the NDPS Act.
