The 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia on Sunday morning was felt in the eastern parts of the country. 29 people were injured in this, two of which are in critical condition. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake came 15 km north of Poso district in Central Sulawesi province and was followed by at least 15 shocks. No tsunami warning has been issued by Indonesian authorities.
National Disaster Reduction Agency spokesperson Abdul Muhari said on Sunday that most of the injured have been rushed to the regional government hospital, most of whom came to attend the prayer meeting in the church on Sunday morning. Muhari said, “videos showing the damage to the church are broadcast. The Poso Disaster Reduction Agency is rapidly assessing the area to detect the initial impact of the earthquake. ”
